Drill at approx 500 RPM.
No need to punch or score to centre hole
Centre drill by applying moderate pressure and turning drill.
Must use sharp drill bit. Use - with or without percussion
Marble at approx 300 RPM using water as a coolant.

Porcelain & Ceramic

Drill very slowly, best to use hand drill or alternatively use an electronic/ battery operated drill no faster than 500 RPM. Must use sharp drill bit. Use liquid coolant.

Glass & Crystal

These surfaces require slow speed and light pressure. Manual hand drill recommended or slow speed on variable speed drill.
Centre the drilling spot by turning the drill to and fro using turpentine as a lubricant.
For plate, glass or mirror use a flat support and drill from both sides. Bottles should be fixed to a lathe and drill as above.

Wood & Plastics

Drill approx 100 RPM on a wooden support.

Stainless Steel

Drill slow at approx 1000 RPM and use a cutting fluid.

Grinding Wheel

Specially manufactured for sharpening the multi purpose drill bit on a hand drill at approx 800RPM.
